Très Chic, Très Organized
A Wardrobe System Fit for the Style Queen of Chez Vu Decor

Michelle Trinh is the creator behind Chez Vu Decor, she shares her Parisian-inspired West Village home through enviable design and styling tips. Michelle is also a powerhouse executive specializing in luxury brand strategy and product development. She is a force. From the moment I met her, she radiated warmth, confidence, and generosity. I am in constant awe of her magnetic energy and presence. Organizing her closet was truly a dream come true and so much fun!

01
Space Assessment
We walked through each area, evaluating its potential. The closet was prime real estate for everyday clothes, but it wasn’t enough to house her entire wardrobe. The storage cages became our solution for long-hang items like gowns and coats — accessible but not taking up "prime real estate".
02
Curation
The purge was the most critical step — every single item came out for review. We assessed each piece with one goal in mind: curate a collection that’s active, wearable, and truly Michelle. Jeans that no longer fit, tops that no longer felt like her — they all went. What remained was a wardrobe that reflected who she is today and curated with pieces she loves!

03
Implementation
Hang, baby, hang. We maximized hanging space to keep her wardrobe visible and easy to access, freeing up valuable drawer space in the process. The real game changer, though, was the storage cages. They allowed us to make her prime closet space more spacious and functional. We cleared out one cage and designated it for long-term storage items like holiday decor, while the other now houses her beautiful collection of gowns, dresses, and coats.
04
The Result
We opened up "everyday" space in her armoire and console, allowing for future growth without sacrificing order. The closet became a curated selection of everyday favorites — easy to access, easy to maintain. And the best part? Michelle’s reaction: 'More room for clothes!'
